How does Voltis Home work?
In the UK, electricity is supplied at around 240Volts and electrical equipment manufacturers produce products that work anywhere between 207Volts and 253Volts. The over supply is wasted energy and not only costs money, it also causes appliances to wear out more quickly. This is because they deal with the extra voltage by generating extra heat or vibration.
So as well as saving on your rising electricity bill, you will also save by not having to change your light bulbs so often. That is where Voltis Home comes in. By installing a Voltis Home unit, voltage will typically be reduced to around 218Volts, ensuring all appliances and circuits run perfectly well - in fact at a power supply they were designed to run most efficiently at. This helps save money on your electricity bill and reduce carbon emissions, which are harmful to the environment.

Voltis Home is completely maintenance-free, so the only cost is for the unit and installation. This should be carried out by a qualified electrician and usually takes around one hour, and once installed, you will enjoy immediate savings.
Product Features
The Voltis Home unit is available in two options. The standard unit is suitable for buildings where the incoming voltage is up to 243Volts and the HD version will handle an incoming voltage of between 230 and 253Volts.

Incoming voltage check
It is essential that the incoming voltage to the building is measured prior to an installation to ensure that the correct Voltis Home unit is used. The voltage reduction ratio is the same for both standard and HD versions but the extra cost of the HD unit is offset by the larger absolute kW saving.
How is Voltis Home installed?
The unit is installed between the electricity meter and fuse board. Installation is very straightforward, but must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Voltis Home will start saving you money from the moment it is installed. Its unique display shows 'Voltage In' and 'Voltage Out' so straight away, you can see how much it is reducing the voltage.
